The US Army Corps of Engineers is working on a program called “Engineering with Nature” which is “the intentional alignment of natural and engineering processes to efficiently and sustainably deliver economic, environmental, and social benefits through collaborative processes.”
Their projects include dredging and sediment distribution, marsh and coastal restoration, native plantings, coastal navigation and more.
