Statistics, down to Earth. A 1-week survey of environmental statistics, from confidence, prediction and tolerance intervals to regression models and trend tests in many varieties.

This four and a half-day course develops hands-on expertise for all scientists who interpret data and present their findings to others. A complete understanding of how statistical tests work unfolds through applications to field-oriented problems. Hypothesis tests are explained in light of data with nondetects, outliers, and skewed distributions. Methods for estimation and prediction are illustrated along with their common pitfalls.
