Join us as we sit down with Tessa Vlaanderen, the founder of Circular Futures, a New York City-based consulting group and think tank, and Sue Ide, ISSP-SA, to learn about:

PRESENTERS:

Tessa Vlaanderen is the founder of Circular Futures and co-founder of the Circular Economy Network.

She has supported a broad range of organizations in catalyzing and accelerating the growth of circular business. Gaining experience in The Netherlands, frontrunner in the generation of circular solutions, she worked with organizations including the Port of Rotterdam, waste management firm Van Gansewinkel (now Shanks Group), the Rabobank, multinational chemical firm DSM, regional economic development organizations, research institutions, and startups. In New York, she has been involved with circular initiatives in the built environment, product recovery, and digitization. She recently published the report “Accelerating Growth of the US Remanufacturing Industry,” arguing the US is and can remain a leader in the field of circular economy.

Prior to being a circular economy consultant, she worked in product R&D and commercialization, process and business improvement, emission reduction and operational excellence at Shell Global Commercial and Shell Downstream Manufacturing.

Tessa holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Process and Energy Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the Delft University of Technology.

Sue (Yasuyo) Ide is an ISSP-SA. She is a Business process improvement professional specializing in organizational and cultural change based on LEAN Six Sigma and Sustainability Transformation methodologies.
