Big data has the ability to process vast amounts of information which can identify insights into energy consumption patterns to reduce carbon footprints and enhance energy efficiency on a global scale, while enabling smarter decisions that drive the adoption of clean, renewable sources.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/kaizen.com\/insights\/case-study-energy-efficiency-in-food-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Food manufacturer uses improvement to reduce electricity and natural gas<\/a> &#8211; By using process mapping and data analysis, a food processor was able to better understand their usage and problem areas related to consumption. Increasing regular data reviews and improving the condenser performance resulted in reduced natural gas consumption by 8% and electricity consumption by 6%.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/kaizen.com\/insights\/case-study-reduction-of-energy-consumption-in-the-process-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Company studies process and data to reduce electricity<\/a> &#8211; By learning more about power factors, standardizing start-up routines, measuring usage and identifying causes of over-consumption, they were able to reduced electricity costs by 17%.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/kaizen.com\/insights\/case-study-efficiency-in-polymer-production\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polymer production efficiencies reduce energy and waste, save millions each year<\/a> &#8211; Equipment breakdowns, inconsistent mixtures and variable chemical usage were costing millions per year.
