This course helps you save money by reducing pollution and complying with the Texas Waste Reduction Policy Act (WRPA). We offer this course in partnership with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Instructors come from both organizations. The course’s framework is based on WRPA which requires Pollution Prevention (P2) planning for facilities that are a Large Quantity Generator, or Small Quantity Generator of hazardous waste or report on the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Form R. You will leave this course with the tools you need to create your Pollution Prevention plan.

This workshop will give you strategies on how to improve efficiency while decreasing or eliminating pollution. Experts in pollution prevention, environmental management systems (EMS), environmental regulations, and energy efficiency conduct an interactive workshop with classroom exercises that will help you use P2 strategies to improve your bottom line.

Past participants saved more than $1.3 million dollars, and reduced over 650,000 pounds of hazardous waste, conserving a million gallons of water and reducing energy use; participants reported these benefits led to a more productive, profitable and clean operation. This course is good for large and small businesses. It should be taken by managers, EHS professionals, facility managers, purchasing officers or anyone involved in production of a product or service.

These courses are offered at a discount rate thanks to a cooperative agreement from the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
